IMMIX Network Solutions' controlled project methodology follows clearly defined phases. Each phase is commenced with a brief meeting to set the expectation for all parties involved and is completed with a signoff meeting. The IMMIX project methodology is a combination of the Microsoft Solutions Framework 4.0 (MSF), the Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step methodology (MDSS) and experience based modifications.

IMMIX projects are controlled via Enterprise Project Management (EPM) and are exposed to customers through our Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) customer portal. Projects and engagements go through life cycles, where the engagement starts its life in the project section of the portal, where the customers can, at any time view the project’s progress online.  When finished the project is moved into the support portal where the customers can view MIS data on their infrastructure, log calls, etc. When new requirements arise within the infrastructure, the data is moved back to the project divisions and the cycle begins anew.

A dedicated Project Manager is assigned to the project and works closely with the customer throughout the course of the project.

All projects abide by the following phases:

  • Analysis Phase – Aims to define and agree upon all the business and infrastructural requirements and introduce the solution to all stakeholders

  • Pilot Phase – Aims to migrate some of the components into the target infrastructure, to test the concept and to ensure that all measurements were correctly taken during the Analysis phase

  • Implementation Phase – Actual implementation occurs. This phase can include a number of sub-phases; these are defined during the Analysis phase

  • Fine-tune Phase – Fine tuning of the system and support assistance of the newly implemented infrastructure occurs. Handover will occur during this phase as this is when the closest working with the administrative personnel occurs

  • Final Phase – Signoff phase where all completed documentation is handed over and the Service Level Agreement that allows for ongoing service is signed.
